Beer Products
We carry a wide range of the standard and specialty equipment you need to be successful in brewing your own beer. We'll be expanding this page over time but for now we're just listing our special recipe kits.  Obviously we carry a lot more individual ingredients and equipment.  Call us if there's anything specific you need.

Recipes
The following are our standard kits and a brief description of each. We stock these as extract kits with specialty grains.  In addition to these we can help you put together any recipe you want whether that be following a commercial example you love, a homebrew recipe you've found somewhere, or something creative you want to try. Stop by or give us a call.

Hefe Weizen
For those that prefer the traditional clove, vanilla, phenolic character found in fine European wheat beers.

Original Gravity: 1.052     IBUs 23

Scottish Ale
Slight smokiness, a mild caramel flavor, and hops grown in the UK brings about a classic Scottish ale

Original Gravity: 1.058     IBUs 38

Summer Ale
A light refreshing ale, with mild European hops.  Perfect for those who like Mexican, Australian, and Canadian Styles

Original Gravity: 1.044     IBUs 24

Belgian Ale
Brewed with Belgian candi sugar this beer has a deceptively light body which conceals it's high alcohol content.  Special yeast gives this beer the classic Belgian flavor profile with banana, clove, and vanilla like flavors coming through.

Original Gravity: 1.063     IBUs 21

English Bitter
Despite the name our English style bitter is very mild in flavor.  With a hint of caramel and the spiciness of English hops this beer reminds some of Fullers and Bass ales.

Original Gravity: 1.052     IBUs 33

4th St. Porter
Dark and chocolate malts make up this selection. Well balanced with a very slight sweetness. A commercial example is Sierra Nevada Porter.

American Pale Ale
This pale ale is fashioned after some of the classic California pale ales.  Brings to mind Sierra Nevada Pale ale and Red Tail.

Original Gravity: 1.054     IBUs 44

Dry Stout
Designed in the style of Guiness Stout. Barley flakes and roasted barley give this beer wonderful roasted flavors and a creamy head.

Original Gravity: 1.062     IBUs 44

Amber Ale
This is a recipe from the now defunct Central Coast Brewery. It has a blend of spicy and floral hop character with a clean finish.

Original Gravity: 1.054     IBUs 23

Barley Wine
Approach with caution! This one really packs a wallop, both with alcoholic strength and a very high hopping rate. Expect to wait a few months for this one to mellow out. Patience pays off. At a year this beer is truly awesome.

Original Gravity: 1.122     IBUs 86

India Pale Ale
IPAs were originally brewed to survive the long ship voyage from England to India. Slightly higher in alcohol and hops to survive the long journey. This one is true to style.

Original Gravity: 1.064     IBUs 62

Cerveza Negra
For those who like a dark beer with light bitterness and without roasted flavors.

Original Gravity: 1.056     IBUs 24

American Red
This is for all of the hop heads out there, with a double dose of Centennial hops.

Original Gravity: 1.054     IBUs 44

California Lager
A true California classic. A special lager yeast that works very well at ale temperatures gives this beer its unique flavor. A commercial example would be Anchor Steam.

Original Gravity: 1.055     IBUs 46

Brown Ale
American version of a classic British brown ale.  Malty and lightly hopped with northwestern hops.  A good commercial example is Big Sky Moose Drool.

Original Gravity: 1.054     IBUs 25

Pilsner
Light and crisp, this pilsner is fashioned after the European pilsners.  A commercial example would be Pilsner Urquell.
