Wheat / Hefeweizen kit
Depending on which yeast you choose, Doc’s Cellar Wheat Ale/Hefeweizen kit will make a remarkably different beer. Both are styles are easy drinking and refreshing beers. The Wheat Ale uses American yeast and is more hop forward and has a malty sweetness. The Hefeweizen uses a German yeast and has strong clove and banana aromas and flavors. Yeast is not included with the kit, but a variety of recommended yeasts are listed below.

INGREDIENTS:
- 6.6 lbs. Wheat Liquid Malt Extract (boil)
- 8 oz. Dextrose (for boil)
- 5 oz. Dextrose (for bottling)
- For Wheat Ale: 1 oz. Cascade (60 minutes)
- For Hefeweizen: 0.5 oz. Cascade (60 minutes)
RECOMMENDED YEAST:
- Safale US-05 (for the Wheat Ale)
- Safbrew WB-06 (for the Hefeweizen)
ALTERNATE YEAST for Wheat Ale:
- WLP001 California Ale
- Or WLP320 American Hefeweizen
ALTERNATE YEAST for Hefeweizen:
- WLP300 Hefeweizen Ale
- Or WLP380 Hefeweizen IV
RECOMMENDED ADDITONS:
- Whirlfoc clarifier (15 min boil addition)
